🔍 What is eSIM and why you need it
eSIM is a built-in SIM card without a physical slot. It allows you to connect a plan remotely: via QR code or an app. Convenient for travel, working with two phone numbers, and quickly switching operators without visiting a store.
📱 Supported global Xiaomi versions
eSIM is supported only on global (Global) device versions. Russian and Chinese versions do not support it.
- Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, 12T Pro
- Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro, 13T, 13T Pro
- Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro, 14T, 14T Pro
- Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G (Global)
- Poco X6 Pro (Global)
Check your model: Settings → About phone → Model. The global version contains the letter G or Global mark in the firmware name.
⚙️ How to set up eSIM on Xiaomi
- Open Settings → SIM cards and mobile networks.
- Click Add eSIM or + next to the eSIM section.
- Select Scan QR code — get it from your operator or the provider's website.
- Confirm the profile installation and wait for activation (up to 2 minutes).
- Assign eSIM for calls or internet in the Preferred SIM section.
❌ Common user mistakes
- Device doesn't show eSIM option — likely not a global firmware version.
- QR code won't scan — try entering the code manually via "Enter activation code".
- eSIM won't activate — check your internet connection and restart the device.
- Profile already in use — each QR code is one-time use, request a new one from your operator.
💡 Helpful tip
Dial *#06# — the EID (eSIM chip identifier) will appear on the screen. If the EID line is present — your device supports eSIM. If not — eSIM is not available on your version.
